When asked who is the world’s favorite elephant, children have only one answer: Benjamin the elephant! Together with many other animals the friendly pachyderm lives in the New Town Zoo. But something sets him apart from his other “animal” friends: he can speak. And his unmistakable distinctive mark is his „Torooo! “, that again and again sounds loudly though the Zoo.

Benjamin the elephant is friendly and very helpful but sometimes a little clumsy. His little weaknesses are a partiality to sugar cubes and a disposition to laze around.

Everyone in New Town knows Benjamin the elephant! After all, the friendly elephant is always prepared to lend a hand where help is needed. Benjamin is big, strong and shrewd – but he is far away from being an all round talent and super hero. His best friend Otto and smart Stella are always there when he needs them, because even Benjamin can have a misadventure or sometimes just doesn’t know what to do – after all he is only “human”. And it is exactly these extremes that make the adventures around Benjamin and his friends so much fun. Against this background, the three friends experience extraordinary or everyday adventures in New Town, in the Zoo or even far away from home.
